cost:$35 ($25 Concession)

The 'Inner Teacher' is the Mind-Body connection which we may access from time to time in our daily lives or on the mat.
We know it is accessible but can rarely truly find it without being lead or guided along the path.
Workshop 3: Unlocking the Soul - Working with back bends
Your facilitator, Geoff Brooks, has been inspired primarily by the Iyengar and Anusara schools of Yoga. Sustaining injury in the course of his Yoga practice was the catalyst for his own journey to awaken the inner teacher.
What has developed since then is a path to obtain "Yoga" - a union between the Mind (by knowledge and focus), Body (by freedom of movement and alignment) and Spirit (through surrender and compassion).

Ayurveda can help you find a deeper level of health.
Ayurveda is India's ancient medical system. It is the sister science to Yoga and they are traditionally practised together.
Ayurveda offers scientific, yet simple, techniques to find balance in our daily life. It is just as applicable today as it was 5,000 years ago. It reaches beyond race and culture and is available to all those seeking a natural, integrated approach to health that addresses the root cause of disease, not just the symptoms.
In this workshop, you will learn...
- about the three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These three bodily intelligences are responsible for our optimum health when they are in a balanced state and for disease when they become aggravated
- the elements and qualities of each Dosha
- what diet and lifestyle choices can affect these forces and sometimes cause them to become aggravated
- simple regimes we can incorporate in our daily life to bring them back to balance
- how the changing of seasons can affect us, and how to stay balanced and vital throughout the year
The workshop will also help you to discover your Prakriti: constitution or nature that does not change through out life and Vikriti: current imbalances that constantly shift due to season, emotions, diet and lifestyle.
No previous experience required. Please join us!
